Terra del Sole: inside the walls of the 'ideal city', symbol of the Renaissance, amidst games of flags and crossbow shooting

Discovering Terra del Sole, the fortress-city commissioned by Cosimo I de’ Medici in 1564, as a Florentine bastion in the Romagna region.

The experience begins with a guided tour of the impressive Renaissance architecture, which witness to the importance and role that the Grand Duke of Tuscany assigned to this urban planning project on the borderland.

Following, in the evocative setting of Palazzo Pretorio, an aperitif dinner with a tasting of traditional products.

To conclude the evening, participants will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in local history and folklore thanks to the collaboration of the Associations, which, for the occasion, will share their stories. In addition, there will be a demonstration and the possibility of crossbow shooting (on June 4th, July 15th, August 5th) with representatives of Borgo Romano, Borgo Fiorentino and the Compagnia Balestrieri, as well as a flag-throwing performance (on September 10th) with the company of the Sbandieratori, Musici and Uomini d'Arme of Terra del Sole.
